A veces llega un momento en la vida en que tienes que dejar de salvar a todos

para empezar a salvarte tú.?

Has cargado problemas que no eran tuyos, has callado para no lastimar a otros, has dado oportunidades hasta quedarte sin fuerzas y has puesto las necesidades de todos por encima de las tuyas. Pero sobrevivir también significa aprender a decir: “Hasta aquí.”

No es egoísmo elegir tu paz. No es crueldad alejarte de lo que te destruye. No tienes que sentirte culpable por dejar de cargar a quienes nunca se preocuparon por cuánto pesaba tu corazón.

Porque hay batallas en las que quedarte significa perderte a ti mismo. Y a veces, para sobrevivir, tienes que elegirte tú.

You’ve carried problems that were never yours, stayed silent to avoid hurting others, given chance after chance until you had nothing left, and put everyone else’s needs before your own. But survival also means learning to say: “Enough.”

Choosing your peace is not selfish. Walking away from what is destroying you is not cruel. You don’t have to feel guilty for letting go of those who never stopped to consider how much your heart was carrying.

Because there are battles where staying means losing yourself. And sometimes, in order to survive, you have to choose yourself.
