Amar no significa aceptar humillaciones.
There are women who beg for love without even realizing it.
Women who spend years waiting for a hug, a kind word, a gentle touch, or simply a look that reminds them they still matter.
There are women who have been betrayed and still choose to stay. Others endure hurtful words, indifference, rejection, humiliation, and entire nights silently asking themselves:
“Why doesn’t he love me the way I love him?”
And they do not always stay because they are weak.
Sometimes they stay because they still love. Because they remember what they once had together. Because there is a family, children, memories, and a shared history. Because deep in their hearts, they still hold on to the hope that tomorrow might be different.
But there comes a moment when we also need to understand something:
Love should never become a struggle to convince someone to love you.
Loving someone does not mean accepting humiliation.
Forgiving does not mean giving someone permission to hurt you again.
And having many years of history together does not mean you have to lose yourself just to preserve that history.
Maybe the question is no longer:
“Why doesn’t he love me?”
Maybe one day we need to find the courage to ask ourselves:
“Why am I begging for a love that I also deserve to receive?”
Because you can love another person deeply and, at the same time, learn to love, respect, and value yourself.
You can forgive without forgetting your dignity.
You can remember what you have lived through without allowing your past to determine your worth today.
And you can understand that sometimes, loving also means setting boundaries.
True love should never make you feel invisible or force you to beg for a place in someone’s heart.
Because real love also cares, respects, listens, and values.
