There are mothers growing older while

waiting for the same promise:

“Mom, I’m going to change.”

They lose sleep, shed tears in silence, forgive lies, disrespect, and disappointment—and still ask themselves, “What else can I do to save my child?”

But there is a painful truth: a mother cannot change a child who refuses to change.

You cannot spend your entire life protecting them from the consequences of their choices while those same choices slowly destroy your peace.

Your children have a life they must learn to live—but you have a life you deserve to live, too.

Mother, loving your child does not mean tolerating everything. Forgiving does not mean allowing yourself to be hurt again. And setting boundaries does not mean you stopped loving them.

Sometimes the hardest act of love is to stop rescuing them and allow them to become responsible for their own life.

Because while they keep saying, “One day I’ll change,” your years keep passing.

Do not give away the years you have left waiting for a change only they can choose to make.

Love them deeply…

but do not abandon yourself trying to save them.
