Voices that Inspire, Stories that Heal

Hosted by Fe y Esperanza at the First Spiritualist Church, Voces que Inspiran, Historias que Sanan was an evening dedicated to raising awareness about human trafficking, mental health, and the lasting impact trauma has on survivors and their families.

The event brought the community together in a welcoming environment where attendees enjoyed dinner, connected with one another, and learned from powerful personal testimonies. Jessica Malone shared her survivor story, while Benjamin Contreras spoke about the impact his sister's kidnapping and trafficking had on his own mental health and healing. Gabriel Contreras discussed human trafficking legislation, current statistics, available resources, and ways the community can become involved in prevention efforts.

Throughout the evening, guests gained a deeper understanding of human trafficking, mental health, warning signs, and practical ways to help protect children and vulnerable individuals. More importantly, the event created a space for meaningful conversations, healing, and hope.
