🚨 PADRES, NO ESPEREMOS A QUE SEA DEMASIADO TARDE

Nuestros jóvenes no siempre dicen: “Necesito ayuda.”

🚨 PARENTS, DON’T WAIT UNTIL IT’S TOO LATE

Our young people don’t always say, “I need help.”

Sometimes they say it by isolating themselves in their room.

Through anger. Through silence. By pulling away from family. Changing friends. Using drugs or alcohol. Losing interest in the things they once loved.

And while adults may think, “It’s just a phase, they’ll get over it,” that young person may be fighting a battle no one can see.

TO OUR YOUTH:

You don’t have to use drugs to forget.

You don’t have to destroy yourself to fit in.

You don’t have to pretend you’re okay when inside you’re crying out for help.

What you’re going through deserves to be heard, not judged.

PARENTS:

It’s not enough to ask, “How was your day?”

We need to learn to look beyond the words, “I’m fine.”

Listen before you punish.

Ask before you assume.

Support before you judge.

Because behind addiction, sudden changes in behavior, or deep silence, there may be a young person who simply doesn’t know how to ask for help.

Prevention begins at home.

Education opens conversations.

And one conversation at the right time can change a life.

💚 OUR YOUTH DON’T JUST NEED CORRECTION. THEY NEED TO BE HEARD, UNDERSTOOD, AND PROTECTED.
