La Paz interior de mi alma

Aug 3
2 min read

Mi paz no hace ruido.

The Inner Peace of My Soul

For a long time, I searched for peace in all the wrong places. I thought it would come when people understood my story, when they stopped judging me, or when my past no longer hurt.

None of that happened.

I realized that peace does not depend on the world changing; it depends on what I choose to keep within my heart.

There will always be people who judge my mistakes without knowing my battles. Some will remember my past but never take the time to see the woman I have become. There was a time when that stole my peace. It no longer does.

I have learned that I do not need everyone’s approval to live with dignity. I do not have to prove who I am to those who have already chosen not to know me.

Peace came when I stopped carrying the weight of other people’s opinions. When I understood that my worth is not determined by someone else’s words. My conscience, my faith, and my purpose speak louder than any judgment.

Now I care for my soul the way one tends a garden. I do not allow resentment to take root, nor bitterness to occupy the place where hope is meant to bloom.

My peace does not need to make noise. It is reflected in the way I walk, the way I forgive, the way I continue to serve, and the way I smile, even though life has left me with scars.

Today I know that my greatest victory was not overcoming those who tried to destroy me. My greatest victory was finding a place within myself where no one can enter to steal the peace that God has planted in my heart.
